The 29th Annual Ford Golf Classic was a huge success raising the cumulative total to over $1.2 Million for student scholarships and emergency loans. The event held on May 5th at Avalon Golf Links in Burlington was considered a banner year for the Foundation with record levels of sponsorships, donors and golfers! We welcomed 216 golfers for the day and had 8 teams waiting patiently to play at tee-time. The day starts at noon with a shotgun start and goes until 5:00 pm with the dinner catered by Max Dale’s Restaurant and followed by a short program, awards and raffle.
Dr. James Ford who the tournament is proudly named after was on site for the entire day, greeting golfers, taking pictures with friends and riding around the course with his family. We look forward to honoring Dr. Ford legacy and his unwavering loyalty and good will toward this tournament and to Skagit Valley College at the 30th Annual Ford Golf Classic taking place on May 11, 2018. Registration opens on January 1, 2018. This is an extremely popular tournament that fills up quickly, so please mark your calendars and get in early!
