Skagit Valley College’s welding program recently received a substantial boost through a donation of $30,000 worth of steel plate and carbon material from T BAILEY, INC., a leader in the Northwest’s heavy-civil, industrial construction, and heavy steel fabrication sectors.
One Island, One Ocean
SVC is serving as a lead partner in the second Around the Americas (ATA) expedition. This exciting and unique project is engaging more than 50 students studying for their associate’s degree or certificates in marine technologies.
Dr. Brinton Sprague
A former dean of SVC’s Whidbey Island Campus and champion of the Marine Technology program, Dr. Sprague donated the Lady M, a 25’ Ranger Tug powerboat to the program for student hands-on training.

PACCAR Technical Center donated a premium-level Kenworth model W990 semi-truck to SVC’s Diesel Power Technology program.
